A Journey Through the Psalms and Proverbs

Good morning, fellow Journeyers! I'm Travis, and I've been walking with Christ for over 10 years now. I had the head knowledge of Christ for most of my life, but it took awhile for my heart to hear His message. Now my life has been blessed beyond belief. My amazing wife and I are raising two boys, Asher and Cohen, ages 3 and 2. Life stays pretty busy keeping up with them, so when I'm not teaching classes, changing diapers, or grading papers, I tend to prefer the simple things: anything outdoors, good books, and lots of coffee.

WHAT KIND OF RESCUE PLAN IS THIS?!

Psalm 130

My Soul Waits for the Lord

A Song of Ascents.

130:1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

O Israel, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities. (ESV)

MEMORY VERSES

Psalm 110:6

He will execute judgment among the nations,
filling them with corpses;
he will shatter chiefs
over the wide earth.
