A Journey Through the Psalms and Proverbs

Meredith Hall

Meredith Hall

@RowHouGeo

Nineteen years ago today, I changed my name from Meredith Leigh George to Meredith George Hall. Happy Anniversary, John! I love you! In the first seven years of my marriage to John, God took me from a household of five girls (plus my dad) to a household of four boys (plus me). It's been quite an adventure. I look at John daily and ask, "Is this normal?," to which he responds with a nod and sometimes a laugh. I love my boys and all God has taught me about myself by having them in my life, including how much I love my girl trips!

Psalm 138

Give Thanks to the Lord

Of David.

138:1 I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart;
before the gods I sing your praise;
I bow down toward your holy temple
and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness,
for you have exalted above all things
your name and your word. [1]
On the day I called, you answered me;
my strength of soul you increased. [2]

All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord,
for they have heard the words of your mouth,
and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord,
for great is the glory of the Lord.
For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly,
but the haughty he knows from afar.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life;
you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
and your right hand delivers me.
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. (ESV)

MEMORY VERSES

Psalm 110:1-7

1 The Lord says to my Lord:
'Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies your footstool.'
2 The Lord sends forth from Zion
your mighty scepter.
Rule in the midst of your enemies!
3 Your people will offer themselves freely
on the day of your power,
in holy garments;
from the womb of the morning,
the dew of your youth will be yours.
4 The Lord has sworn
and will not change his mind,
'You are a priest forever
after the order of Melchizedek.'
5 The Lord is at your right hand;
he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will execute judgment among the nations,
filling them with corpses;
he will shatter chiefs
over the wide earth.
7 He will drink from the brook by the way;
therefore he will lift up his head.
