A Journey Through the Psalms and Proverbs

Rob Heath

Rob Heath

Hey, all! My name is Rob Heath, and I am the proud "Pops" to the Kirklands: Taylor, Kelsey, Brady, Jane, and Allie. Most of the Kirklands are here in Dallas, and I get to spend lots of time with them, while Allie resides in Houston, straightening out the banking business in Houston with the truth. I am blessed to serve as a part of two ministries at Watermark: re:generation, our 12-step biblical discipleship through recovery program; and the Summit men's Bible study, where God's handiwork on the heart shows up dramatically. Even though I am a Baylor graduate, I am a diehard Aggie fan. Ask me why in person, and I'll tell you!

Proverbs 2:16-22

16 So you will be delivered from the forbidden [1] woman,
from the adulteress [2] with her smooth words,
17 who forsakes the companion of her youth
and forgets the covenant of her God;
18 for her house sinks down to death,
and her paths to the departed; [3]
19 none who go to her come back,
nor do they regain the paths of life.

20 So you will walk in the way of the good
and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright will inhabit the land,
and those with integrity will remain in it,
22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land,
and the treacherous will be rooted out of it. (ESV)

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.
